When Stranger Things Season Three reached out in need of a specialty rig, the result was a custom machined mount to allow the Entanya MFT250 to fit on the Arri Trinity two axis gimbal. The Trinity’s unique form factor allowed the mount to remain clear of the lenses 250 degree x 360 degree field of view.
By combining the hemispherical plate with our traditional array, we were able to deliver high resolution traditional driving plates for the on screen environment and sky-dome style footage for use in lighting the cgi creature. The rig was still able to fly as luggage and efficiently attach to a rental car, all while being street legal.
